OVERVIEW OF FEEDBACK

It is fair to say that the extent of feedback received from members was low to moderate. By our reckoning approximately 100-120 OAS members collectively either attended APA regional sessions, the OAS forum, or otherwise participated or communicated their views to the OAS on this document, mostly through informal discussion. In the following we don’t present a list of the specific, individual comments raised with respect to particular elements of the current draft, as these are presumably represented in the APA’s input they provided the Ministry from regional meetings and the focus in those meetings on a page by page review of the document. Moreover, very little of the comments we received could be flagged as representing anywhere near a consensus preference for an alternative, or consensus on greater or lesser standard than that established already in the draft S&G. Nonetheless, there were a number of clear and consistent messages and themes that emerged as underlying concerns from the comments we heard. Those broad concerns have been distilled in the following two sections.
